PrintOfficials call for new teaching methods
Update 17/01/2013 - 07:57:54 AM (GMT+7)The city's Department of Education and Training has asked all schools to use appropriate methodology in courses that have instruction about the country's laws.
At a workshop held yesterday in HCM City, Le Hong Son, the department's head noted that education about the country's laws had been carried out from the kindergarten to higher education level.
He said teachers should adapt methodologies to various grade levels.
The department this year plans to give more textbooks about the country's laws to schools in the city.
It will also provide equipment for the effective teaching of laws in schools, including electronic tools and visual aids, which are expected to create more interest among students.
More teachers for these courses will also be recruited for every education level, from kindergarten to university.
The department has held many training courses to update teachers' knowledge about laws and methodologies.
Teachers of these classes also receive an allowance.
In the last three years, the city allocated VND17.8 billion (US$847,619) for education courses about the country's laws in all schools.
