he rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, based on 11 criteria namely good health and wellbeing; quality education; gender equality; decent work and economic growth; industry, innovation and infrastructure; reduced inequalities; sustainable cities and communities; responsible consumption and production; climate action; peace, justice and strong institutions; partnership for the goals.
Ton Duc Thang University in HCM City has been listed in top 101-200 of The Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings 2019
Ton Duc Thang University ranked high in terms of quality education, sitting among the top 48-59 and in terms of sustainable cities and communities, and partnerships for goals and climate action within the top 60-70.
The Impact Rankings saw the participation of 462 universities around the world, including 42 from Japan; 30 from the US, 29 from Russia and 26 from the UK.
The leading universities in the rankings are New Zealand’s Auckland University, Canada’s British Columbia University and McMaster University; the UK’s University of Manchester; University of Hong Kong and Finland’s University of Helsinki.
Those which are in the same ranking of 101-200 along with Ton Duc Thang University are Malaysia’s University of Malaya; the US’s University of Massachusetts, Japan’s Osaka University and Hokkaido University; South Korea’s KAIST, Russia’s Lomonosov University.
Ton Duc Thang University has also been the first university in Vietnam received a four-star ranking by the UK-based QS Stars University Rating System.
It is also ranked second in Vietnam and 1,422th the world in terms of academic performance by the World University Rankings by Academic Performance (URAP) amongst its international recognition.
