PrintHanoi to honour 100 outstanding valedictorians in Van Mieu
Update 30/08/2016 - 09:10:00 AM (GMT+7)Hanoi will organise a ceremony at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Literature Temple) in Hanoi on August 28 to honour 100 outstanding valedictorians from universities and institutes based in the capital in 2016.
The valedictorians, who are graduates from universities and institutes with impressive academic results, are role-models for students struggling to overcome difficulties to pursue scientific studies, initiatives, as well as practical and effective solutions both locally and internationally.
The event is the 14th of its kind hosted by the Hanoi authorities with over 1,500 students having been honoured over the past 14 years.
Among the 100 honoured valedictorians are 38 males and 62 females; 40 of them have good academic records while 60 received outstanding results.
The valedictorians will participate in a number of activities, including meeting Hanoi’s leaders, joining the ‘Valedictorians Starting up Agriculture’ and ‘Lighting Dreams of Hanoi’s Valedictorians’ programmes, offering incense to commemorate predecessors and signing their names in a golden book at Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.
