PrintVietnamese juniors pocket medals at international science Olympiad
Update 21/12/2015 - 08:37:06 AM (GMT+7)All six Vietnamese students attending the 12th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) held in the Republic of Korea brought home medals, according to the Hanoi municipal Department of Education and Training.
Accordingly, Do Le Duy and Do Hoang Duy from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted bagged silvers while Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Do Thanh Trung and Nguyen Kim Chung, also from the Hanoi-Amsterdam school and Vu Minh Ngoc from Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted pocketed bronzes.
The 12th IJSO was organised for 15 year-old students from December 2 to 11 by a council of internationally renowned scientists.
The tests comprised physics, chemistry and biology with fundamental scientific knowledge and required sensible analysis and logical reasoning.
This year’s competition attracted 252 contestants from 44 nations and territories.
