PrintUS Ambassador launches new St. Paul campus
Update 22/04/2015 - 08:54:45 AM (GMT+7)US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius was the guest of honour at the inauguration ceremony on April 17 for the new St Paul American School campus in Hanoi.
Ambassador Osius, in his speech, said that these new facilities will reinforce the work of the school to promote the use of the latest technological tools in education, noting that the St. Paul American School represents the best of American educational values.
After the speech, Ambassador Osius cut the ribbon that officially opened the building. Then, some school students showed the new facilities to the ambassador and other guests.
The school was founded in 2011 with 50 students. It is a co-ed college preparatory institution covering pre-kindergarten through 12th grade education.
It moved to the Splendora urban area in January 2015 and now has 216 students with many nationalities including those from Vietnam and the US.
Ambassador Ted Osius said the school has helped to bring a new method of education from the US to Vietnam, which is instrumental in assisting Vietnam better integrate into the global community.
In the coming time, an American-style private and non-profit university modelled after Fulbright University Vietnam will open in Vietnam, he revealed. Construction of the new campus is set to start later this year.
