PrintVietnam wins two SEM ASIA 2015 prizes
Update 05/03/2015 - 09:07:50 AM (GMT+7)The nation got two big prizes at a March 1 awards ceremony of the 2015 Shell Eco-marathon Asia competition taking place in Manila, the Philippines, attended by more than 100 teams from 17 countries.
The winners included Team LH – Gold Energy of Lac Hong University who won the first place for the UrbanConcept Alternative Fuel category, and University of Technical Education Ho Chi Minh City who was the runner-up for Shell FuelSave Gasoline.
The competition aims to encourage students to be creative in applying advanced technology in the effective use of energy and power.
It was first organised in France 30 years ago and has since then taken place in Asia, Europe and America. This is the sixth time it has transpired in Asia and the second in Manila, the Philippines.
In 2012, the Vietnamese delegation took the second place in the type of "Basic model" (Prototype) in the ethanol category at the 2012 Asian Shell Eco-Marathon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
