PrintHCM City to send five students to the World Robot Olympiad
Update 23/09/2014 - 01:53:38 PM (GMT+7)Five secondary students from HCM City are set to take part in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) 2014, to be held in Russia in November.
The students, from Hong Bang and Chu Van An secondary schools, were the winners of the HCM City robot contest, Robotacon 2014, organised by the HCM City Department of Education and Training.
Robotacon 2014 attracted the participation of 45 teams from 18 primary, secondary and high schools in HCM City.
Twenty three teams competed in the final round held at Tran Dai Nghia High School on September 21. The teams from Hong Bang and Chu Van An came out the winners.
The World Robot Olympiad is a global robotics competition for young people. The competition uses Lego Mindstorms manufactured by LEGO Education. First held in 2004 in Singapore, it now attracts the participation of 1,000 competitors from 37 countries.
