Several Vietnamese teachers have found fame on social networks thanks to their great innovations and contributions at work.

Nguyen Hoang Khac Hieu, teacher of psychology

Nguyen Hoang Khac Hieu

Psychology teacher Nguyen Hoang Khac Hieu has become famous for devising several short video clips to help people, especially young girl students deal with traumatic situations such as motorbike robbery, theft or rape. The clips have been widely spread on online forums, attracting hundreds of thousands of hits.

Each clip provides viewers with messages and tips to overcome  unexpected incidents. Hieu has up to 129,000 fans.

Hieu is currently teaching at HCM City University of Education and is pursuing a doctorate at the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences.

He won a prize for young psychologists organised by the Vietnam Association of Psychology and Pedagogical Sciences and a prize for scientific research in 2006.

Duong Van Can – “The best teacher of physics”

Hanoi teacher Duong Van Can has a great number of fans thanks to his unique personality.

He is famous for creating poems to make his physics lectures more interesting. He is determined to make physics a more practical, fun topic.

A group of students established a Can’s fan page and posted all of his poems and lectures.

His students also granted him with a cup with ‘The best teacher of physics” engraved on it.

Lai Tien Minh – a “hot-boy” teacher

Hanoi maths teacher Lai Tien Minh became famous after photos of him were posted on the school’s social network.

Minh received a lot of compliments and has been nick-named “Minh Cute” by fans as he looks handsome and much younger than his age.

MA Minh, who is currently pursuing a doctorate course, supported students in the 20th National Maths Olympiad.

Hoang Anh Duy is also known for his MC work at VTV game show, “Rung chuong vang” for university students to compare their talents and exchange knowledge.

After becoming a lecturer at  the Hanoi-based University of Foreign Trade, Duy won first prize in a MC contest in 2009. He still balances his time between teaching and acting as MC.

History teacher Le Thi My Dung at Hanoi-based Phan Dinh Phung High School has become an idol among many students and other young people. Her fans set up a Facebook to share her humorous and interesting lectures and sayings.

Dung may not be strict, but she’s known for asking thorny questions. However, many students love her for turning a boring and theoretical subject into something attractive.

“Belle” teacher Phan Hong Anh

Young teacher Phan Hong Anh became famous after acting as a judge for an outdoor activity by students at the Hanoi-based Amsterdam High School in August.

Many students took photos with Anh and posted them on their Facebook. Many people liked her photos thanks to her elegant beauty. They then became curious about her private life.

Anh was runner up in the Imiss Thang Long 2010.

She came first in her university entrance exam at Hanoi University of Education and graduated with an excellent degree.
