Outstanding students in technical, environmental majors receive scholarships

Toyota Motor Vietnam and the Ministry of Education and Training have presented scholarships to 59 outstanding students from nine universities in the north.

The students came from the Hanoi University of Technology, the University of Transportation, the Hanoi University of Industry, the University of Economic and Technical Industries, the Quang Ninh University of Industry, the Nam Dinh University of Technology Education, the Vietnam Maritime University, the Hung Yen University of Technology and Education and the University of Technology under the Thai Nguyen University.

 

Yoshihisa Maruta, TVF President and TMV Genera Director presents scholarships to outstanding students on January 24. 


Speaking at the ceremony held on January 24 in Vinh Phuc Province, Yoshihisa Maruta, TVF President and TMV Genera Director said that on occasion of the 20th anniversary of the TMV’s presence in Vietnam, TMV will strive further to expand and launch new social activities, focusing on traffic safety, education, sports and culture.

This year, the 2014 Toyota Scholarship Programme will present 115 scholarships, each worth VND4 million, to 115 outstanding students majoring in technology, engineering and environmental studies at 16 universities, totaling VND460 million (US$21,600).

In addition, the TMV will continue to present 16 Camry, Corolla and Vios gearboxes to 16 universities for teaching equipment.

Another scholarship presenting ceremony will be held at the Vinh University of Technology and Education on January 27 — the others will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and Da Nang.
