The Ho Chi Minh City International University under the Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City inaugurated three modern ultra high-frequency, high-performance computing (HPC), and human–machine interface laboratories early this week.

The ultra high-frequency laboratory researches the fabrication technology of high-frequency circuits for the wireless sector, targeting defense applications and domestic communication as well as information and technology products which require high technique.

The total investment capital for the lab is VND27 billion (US$1.27 million), in which the state budget accounts for 61.1 percent, with the remaining covered by the school.

Meanwhile, the HPC lab in which Fair Filed company sponsors VND300 million (US$14,120) aims at the synchronous development of science in computing technology industries.

The human–machine interface lab hopes to create an environment where students can practice the industrial automatic control via human and computer interfaces.

The lab boasts more than VND2 billion ($94,135) in investments, in which the state budget accounts for VND1.8 billion (US$83,722) and the remainder is covered by the school.
