PrintBritish Council director honoured for contribution to education
Update 27/06/2013 - 07:51:35 AM (GMT+7)The Ministry of Education and Training awarded Director of the British Council in Vietnam Robin Rickard a medal on June 19 in Hanoi.
Robin Rickard took his post as the director of British Council Vietnam in 2008. He represented the UK in helping regulate education co-operation activities under the strategic partnership agreement between Vietnam and the UK.
Mr Rickard was involved in formulating English training for over 1,600 key Vietnamese officials to prepare for their overseas education.
The programme provides English training for over 600 key officials annually.
Robin Rickard has also been involved in the establishment of the UK-Vietnam International University in the central city of Danang and helped form an Anglo-Viet university network.
