PrintKorean group gives $23,700 scholarships to students
Update 18/04/2013 - 07:56:24 AM (GMT+7)Korean food and shopping group Lotte awarded Tuesday scholarships worth a total of US$9,900 to 33 Vietnamese junior and senior college students in Ho Chi Minh City.
These scholarship winners are high-performing students who have actively engaged in community service alongside their studies.
The recipients come from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Economics, University of Finance – Marketing, University of Law, University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology, and University of Technology.
Lotte will also grant scholarships to 46 other college students in Hanoi in September, taking the total funding to $23,700.
The group has provided financial aid to Vietnamese students in the form of scholarships like this for six years.
It supplies similar grants to students in China and Indonesia as well.
